About Us

The West African Dance Group (WADG) was founded by beautiful, illustrious, and creative African women on the UCI campus in 2008. WADG dancers are a mix of women from different African diaspora. We are a sisterhood that embraces our culture and beauty while exuding and promoting confidence through movement. Our take on Afro-Fusion/ Afrobeat dance makes us feel empowered and is our gift to ourselves and others.
