Mission
The Academic & Professional Women of UCI are dedicated to supporting staff, faculty, and students with a special emphasis on the women of UCI. Our mission is 1) To develop awareness by faculty, staff and other campus constituencies of the contributions of women to the mission of UCI, 2) To provide activities and support to other campus constituencies that contribute to the advancement of women at UCI and 3) To serve as a networking and communications channel among women employees at UCI.

Mission
Our community garden is a place where people who enjoy gardening come together to work the soil and share their knowledge and experience with other gardeners. Our gardeners include UCI students, faculty, staff, and members from the community. Originally established in 1985, the garden has been located near three different UCI student housing complexes, most recently Arroyo Vista Housing. In June 2008 the garden was relocated to a new site next to Palo Verde Graduate Student Housing. The club name was changed to Anthill Village Community Garden.

The purpose of this organization is to oversee the use and management of the land assigned
to the Anthill Village Community Garden by the University.

"The Chicano/Latino Staff Association at UCI shall assist the University in the recruitment and retention of Chicano/Latino undergraduate and graduate students. It shall support the Chicano/Latino campus community by: (1)providing a social support network for Chicano/Latino staff and students; (2) serving as an advocacy group for the Chicano/Latino campus community; (3) encouraging and promoting the hiring and retention of Chicano/Latino staff at UCI; and (4) advocating and developing educational and social programs for staff at UCI."
