How do you start a career in public interest? What is the timing for securing a post-grad job? What type of post-grad positions are available? And what are the avenues most likely to lead to a guaranteed position before graduation?

The presentation will include an overview of how different types of public interest employers hire and a discussion of how to create multiple public interest career options simultaneously. We will also explain funded and project-based fellowships, the timeline for applications, and the benefits to securing a public interest fellowship as your first post-grad job.

Although this presentation is primarily for 2Ls, 1Ls pursuing a career in public interest law may also find this information useful in planning ahead.
