About Us

Our mission at Hong Kong Student Union is to spread awareness of Hong Kong culture as well as to gather those who have interest in the culture. We are striving to expand our club by hosting cultural events which allow our students and club members to feel welcomed and included. The Hong Kong Student Union at UC Irvine targets our audience towards students who have a Hong Kong cultural background, however, we are open to anyone who has interest in learning more about our culture. Since Hong Kong is a relatively small place with a very unique culture, we hope to share this interesting culture with students at UC Irvine. We belong to U-852 organization which is made up of four UC schools to give more opportunities for our members and their members to share common cultures & interests. Beside connecting activities and cooperation with U852, we also have long-term partnerships with other student associations in UCI. In the global perspective, HKSU@UCI has also joined University of Hong Kong Student Association (UHKSA), which has 14 others top university, fostering partnerships and cooperating with them and aiming to create an interschool community in both the U.S and Hong Kong region. We hope that everyone is able to meet new friends, learn new things, and enjoy a good time while they are with us in UC Irvine!
