Andrew Hansen's profile photo

Andrew Hansen

Andrew is a 4th-year doctoral student in the Department of Cognitive Sciences here at UCI. He has an MS in Cognitive Science from UCI, an MS in Neuroscience from Brandeis University, and a BS in Physics/Biophysics from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. Additionally, Andrew has over 10 years of research experience in the fields of physics, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, epigenetics, computational neuroscience, neuromorphic computing, artificial neural networks, machine learning, and computational cognitive science. He has progressed from a point of being diagnosed with the disability of written expression as a young child, to being a proficient and effective writer, with a wealth of experience writing for a wide-range of target audiences in the above fields (and beyond). He enjoys technical writing as a creative endeavor, and creative writing as a technical endeavor. It is both his history of continuously improving his own writing, as well as his perspective that writing can be continuously improved, that he brings with him to the task of writing consulting.
