Join us for a conversation with Central California Environmental Justice Network(CCEJN). In collaboration with the UC Irvine’s Sustainability Resource Center and Latinx Resource Center, we have invited CCEJN’s executive director, Nayamin Martinez, MPH, and coordinator, Carlos Gomez, to share about reconnecting with land, and to discuss CCEJN’s vision for resilient agroecology practices in the Central Valley and improving the working realities of farm workers.

The Central California Environmental Justice Network is a grassroots network fighting for Environmental Justice in the San Joaquin Valley. They help empower communities to help eliminate local negative environmental impacts. CCEJN supports grassroots leadership to promote environmental health education, community organizing, collaborative dialogue, and political involvement among rural, underserved communities of color in the Valley. Agriculture is the primary industry in much of the Central Valley, therefore, it is critical in discussions about environmental justice and sustainability in the state of California.
