Pi Day Celebration
Details
Pi or π is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. It is an irrational number that is infinite. Often represented by the first three numbers in the sequence, 3.14. That is why March 14 is Pi Day! Whether you like math or understand Pi take a break from studying and come celebrate the infinite possibilities in life by eating pie, playing games, and possibly winning prizes.
Alumni and UCI supporters will be at the ANTrepreneur Center joining in on the celebration. Make new friends while enjoying pizza, fruit pies, and beverages. You can also meet students and staff from some of the Division of Undergraduate Education departments including:
- Summer Session
- Scholarship Opportunities Program
- Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program
- Learning & Academic Resource Center
- More to come
It wouldn't a party without games!
How many digits of Pi can you recite from memory? Enter for a chance to show off your mental acuity and win a cool mega prize.
If being on stage isn’t your thing, complete one of several group activities to be entered into an opportunity drawing.
Entries for the Pi reciting contest will be accepted between 4:00pm - 5:00pm. Reciting begins at approximately 5:05pm. Participants will be recorded to review for accuracy.
