About Us
UC Irvine is proud to be among 45 statewide campuses selected for the inaugural #CaliforniansForAll College Corps program. Students who are accepted into the College Corps program at UC Irvine for the 2023-24 academic year will engage in community-serving opportunities while also receiving financial compensation and other benefits. Governor Newsom's unprecedented investment in college service aims to create debt-free college pathways for low-income students to tackle our greatest challenges and serve our communities. Led by California Volunteers and the California Office of the Governor, the College Corps program has three priorities across the state: To engage college students in meaningful service to build leadership and civic responsibility To promote academic success and economic well-being with students from diverse backgrounds To support the work of community-based organizations in key local priorities, food insecurity and climate action.
