How To: Virtual Study Groups - RECAP!
Hello everyone! Thank you to those of you who joined us for today's meeting. In case you were unable to attend, here are some tips for finding, structuring, and studying with virtual study groups!
- GroupMe and Facebook are extremely useful tools in finding studying with virtual study groups!
- Structure your study groups so that different people have different responsibilities and make sure to rotate those responsibilities.
- Create a group calendar so everyone is on the same page
- Set goals! Identify specific tasks that you want to accomplish during each study section.
- Tools such as concept maps, flashcards, and practice problems can help you understand the material better.
- Don't forget to reward yourself with taking a short 10-15 minute break!
- Take advantage of some great online review platforms for group studying! Quizlet, Jamboard and Flippity are some great sites!
- Communication and accountability are key, especially for virtual study groups.
