RA Opportunity in LALA Lab
The Language and Learning Analytics Lab (LALA LAB) is recruiting a team of undergraduates to support the analysis of a new dataset.
The project is a partnership between UCI and NeuroMatch, an online learning program for Computational Neuroscience and Deep Learning. Our aim is to understand and model knowledge construction in online discussions. Selected undergraduates will assist with analyzing text through qualitative coding, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Statistical Discourse Analysis (SDA). This is a great opportunity to gain experience with text analysis; work with education faculty and graduate students; explore a new field of study; and earn credit for independent research (ED198). Any and all majors welcome!
If you are interested in this opportunity, please send an email to Lauren Snow (lesnow@uci.edu). In your email, briefly specify (a) why you are interested in this project, (b) why you think you are a good fit, and (c) your CV or Resume.
