Southern California Exhibition Premiere: Americans and the Holocaust

UCI Libraries invites you to the premiere of the American Library Association and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s traveling exhibition Americans and the Holocaust.

This virtual event will feature special guest speakers from the UCI campus, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the Southern California community. 

Lead historian of Americans and the Holocaust, Rebecca Erbelding will share the scholarship and research behind the exhibition. Erbelding has been a historian, curator and archivist at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum for the past eighteen years. She holds a Ph.D. in American history from George Mason University and is the author of Rescue Board: The Untold Story of America's Efforts to Save the Jews of Europe (Doubleday, 2018), which won the National Jewish Book Award for excellence in writing based on archival research.

In conjunction with the American Library Association and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s traveling exhibition Americans and the Holocaust, the UCI Libraries’ Americans and the Holocaust Exhibition Event Series explores antisemitism, extremism, and the power of human connection. Guests are encouraged to visit the traveling exhibition during regular library hours.
