Michael M. Green is Stacey Nicholas Dean of Engineering (Interim) of the UCI Samueli School of Engineering. Since joining UCI’s electrical engineering and computer science department in 1997, Professor Green has served in a range of academic leadership positions. In addition to his current role, he has also served as associate dean for Undergraduate Student Affairs from 2017-2020 and as department chair from 2009-2014. He also served on the faculty at University of Stony Brook, New York and worked as an integrated circuit design engineer at National Semiconductor Corporation and Broadcom (formerly Newport Communications). Professor Green earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering at University of California, Los Angeles. His current research interests include the design of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for use in applications including high-speed communication networks and biomedical devices. He has published more than 120 papers in technical journals and conferences and has received six patents. He has been recognized with several teaching and industry honors including the Award for New Technical Concepts in Electrical Engineering from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Region 1, the Guillemin-Cauer Award of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and the W. R. G. Baker Award from IEEE.

Dr. John Wainwright has over 20 years of experience with vascular medical devices. He joined the Medtronic Neurovascular group 10 years ago and now leads early Research and Technology where he is making progress on his goal to save millions of lives in a beneficial environment.

John completed his BS and MS at University of Florida and his PhD at University of Pittsburgh.  John is based in the UCI Research Park and resides close by with his wife and 10-year-old daughter in Foothill Ranch.
