About Us
At New Youth, our mission is to celebrate, promote, and share the rich, diverse, and contemporary arts and cultures of the Chinese-speaking communities (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Chinese-speaking diasporas) with our UCI community. We are dedicated to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for Chinese-speaking (Mandarin, Cantonese, and other Chinese languages) students and English-speaking students who intend to connect, learn, and engage. Through cultural events, we aim to foster cross-cultural understanding, appreciation, and friendship. Our vision is to bridge cultures, break down stereotypes, and create lasting connections among students and individuals from different backgrounds. We aspire to be a source of cultural enrichment, personal growth, and a sense of belonging for our members. Together, we work towards building a more culturally aware, globally minded, and harmonious community within UCI.
