WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

To be successful in the New Venture Competition, you need more than just a great idea - you need great research - and the UCI Libraries are here to help! This workshop will focus on key library databases for conducting industry, market, and company research. Learn how to navigate these resources to find industry outlook and market size information, identify and research competitors, and use these reliable sources of information to strengthen your concept papers and pitches.

Complimentary appetizers and refreshments will be provided.

Sara Heimann (she, her, hers) is the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Librarian at the University of California, Irvine Libraries. She provides research support and serves as the liaison librarian to UCI’s interdisciplinary entrepreneurship community, including students, faculty, staff, and researchers exploring innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as those participating in entrepreneurial competitions on campus. She also participates in the Libraries’ general reference and library instruction services. Sara received her MLIS from San Jose State University and holds a BS in Accounting from Cal Poly Pomona.
