Taco is everywhere: it is found in every corner of the U.S. as well as around the world; it is even in space, as pointed out by Gustavo Arellano in his book Taco USA. Who doesn't like a taco with a little (or a lot) of la salsa picante? Every taco experience is unique and yet the craving for a wholesome taco is universal. What's in your taco? How do you like your taco? Finally, where do you get your tacos?

We are celebrating the distinctive taco culture with Gustavo Arellano and Daniel Shemtob, two most authoritative taco figures and celebrities! The event will include the conversation with Arellano and Shemtob, a Q & A with participants, as well as an opportunity to assemble your own tasty tacos.

Gustavo Arellano is a columnist for the Los Angeles Times, covering Southern California everything and a bunch of the West and beyond. He previously worked at OC Weekly, where he was an investigative reporter and editor for many years and wrote a column called ¡Ask a Mexican! Arellano is the author of Taco USA: How Mexican Food Conquered America and co-author of A People's Guide to Orange County.

Daniel Shemtob is a chef, restaurateur and entrepreneur who started his own food business at age 19. He is the owner of one of the coolest food trucks, The Lime Truck. The Lime Truck won The Great Food Truck Race: All Stars on Food Network. To learn more about Daniel Shemtob: https://danielshemtob.com/
