Visiting Artist Lecture Series organized by Rhea Anastas and the first year MFA Cohort.

Nikita Gale lives and works in Los Angeles. Selected exhibitions include: HOLLOWSCENE, Commonwealth and Council, Los Angeles (2022); IN A DREAM YOU CLIMB THE STAIRS, Chisenhale, London (2022); TAKERS, LAXART, Los Anegles (2022); END OF SUBJECT, 52 Walker, New York (2022); THANK GOD YOU'RE HERE, 56 Henry, New York, NY (2022); SOME WEATHER, CIRCA and Chisenhale Gallery, London, UK; Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea (2021); PRIVATE DANCER, California African American Museum, Los Angeles, USA; and AUDIENCING, MoMA PS1, Long Island City, USA (both 2020).

Rhea Anastas is Associate Professor in the Department of Art at UC Irvine, and an independent curator. In the winter of 2004–05, Anastas co-founded Orchard, a cooperative gallery with a predetermined three-year lifespan (2005–08), with artists Moyra Davey, Andrea Fraser, Christian Philipp Müller, Jeff Preiss, R. H. Quaytman, and Jason Simon, among others.
