Nikita Gale lives and works in Los Angeles. Rhea Anastas is Associate Professor in the Department of Art at UC Irvine, and an independent curator. In the winter of 2004–05, Anastas co-founded Orchard, a cooperative gallery with a predetermined three-year lifespan (2005–08), with artists Moyra Davey, Andrea Fraser, Christian Philipp Müller, Jeff Preiss, R. H. Quaytman, and Jason Simon, among others.
