Photographer Rick Guidotti challenges us to see beauty as inclusive of difference, and through his lens our shared humanity is celebrated.
Documentary Screening & Artist Talk with Photographer Rick Guidotti. Presented in Partnership with UCI Illuminations, UCI School of Education and the UCI Disability Services Center

Rick Guidotti is an award-winning photographer whose work has been featured in LIFE Magazine, Elle, GQ, at the Smithsonian Institution, and in hospitals and universities worldwide. The short documentary, On Beauty, details Rick's journey from high fashion photographer in Paris, Milan and New York, to challenging the strictures that define beauty only through the lens of popular culture. A chance encounter with a young woman with the albinism led Rick to abandon supermodels in favor of photographing and celebrating the beauty of people with genetic conditions. His quest to redefine beauty is powerful and life-changing. Following the documentary, Rick will speak about how photography and the arts can educate, inform and inspire us to build a more inclusive world.

Mr. Guidotti is the founder and Director of Positive Exposure Foundation, an innovative arts, advocacy, and education organization. Positive Exposure utilizes the arts to embrace our shared humanity, inclusive of genetic difference, disability, race, gender identity, sexuality and all other aspects of diversity.

A´╗┐SL interpretation and closed-captioning will be provided at this event.
