Brown Bag Theatre Company opens their doors to all walks of life to harbor a safe space for a community that needs it now more than ever. Through the outlet of theatre that transcends an audience and time, the spring production of Santos Y Santos, by Octavio Solis, caters to themes of family, loyalty, and justice for all involved in the system. The play shares similarities in our current judicial system where our Latine community is being cornered without due process in the repercussions that they may face. The purpose of producing this particular play is to emphasize the unrealistic ideal referred to as the "American Dream" for those of diverse backgrounds. Immigrants in particular have been victims of negative stipulations in the legal system, which stems from the broad foundation of this "American Dream". Brown Bag Theatre Company remains firm on our promise to support and continuously uplift minority voices.
