The CYFER Lab invites the UC Irvine campus and its community partners to celebrate the spirit of collaboration and meaningful community-engaged research through UCI FACE (Facilitating Authentic Academic Community Collaboration and Engagement). UC Irvine researchers will showcase their work through short and creative TED-talk style and Pecha Kucha sessions. During the student research poster session, emerging scholars will showcase their work and discuss innovative solutions to real-world challenges. The day will conclude with a keynote performance “On Sight”, a Solo Play and TV Special. Dr. Micah E. Johnson will use comedy, raw emotions, and street culture to discuss youth gun violence and mental health. Immediately following our keynote performance, we will honor our community partners in an appreciation reception. By bringing together diverse voices and expertise, UCI FACE underscores the transformative power of uniting diverse academics, professionals, and community members to address collective challenges and advance shared goals. We invite you to this inspiring gathering where research, partnership, and community come together to create meaningful impact. To register for the event and/or submit a student poster highlighting community engaged research, visit the CYFER Lab Linktree page here: https://linktr.ee/ucicyferlab
