In honor of March being Women's History Month (WomXn's HerStory Month), please join the UCI ICS Alumni Chapter on Friday, March 5th, 2021 at 12PM PST for a panel showcasing Women Superstars in ICS. The panel will be comprised of esteemed business champions, scholars, and change agent influencers from a variety of industries and diverse backgrounds.

Panel showcasing Women Superstars in ICS:

- Renee Reid MSICS 2019 Renee Reid is a Staff UX Design Researcher with over 20 years of professional experience in various roles including Project Management, Customer Experience, Sales and User Experience. She has led both Consumer and Enterprise research projects in Search and Discovery, Trust & Privacy and Identity while working in tech, including at LinkedIn. A sought-after dynamic international speaker, moderator, & panelist, Renee's passions include inspiring & discovering the next generation of tech professionals, women of color, as well as introducing more underrepresented individuals to tech and the worlds of UX & Design. Human-Centered UX Researcher, Dynamic Speaker and lover of all things Zora Neal Hurston, Audre Lorde, & Dr. Maya Angelou. An active voice for representation and change in the UX industry & throughout tech. I also rock a lot of headwraps because every QUEEN should wear her crown.

- Rosalva Gallardo Valencia is a Software Program Manager at Google in Silicon Valley. She is passionate about driving continuous efficiency and process improvements in software organizations. She is committed to empower Women and Latin@s to be leaders in the field of computing. She completed her Ph.D. and Masters in Information and Computer Sciences with a concentration in Software Engineering from the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at University of California, Irvine. Rosalva holds a B.S. degree in Informatics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Founder of PeruSV.org, non-profit organization to close the technology gap between Peru and Silicon Valley.

- Jola Bolaji graduated with her Bachelor's degree from the UC Irvine School of ICS in 2013 where she specialized in Human-Computer Interaction. She went on to complete her Master's degree from the University of Michigan School of Information where she continued her education in her specialization of Human-Computer Interaction. Upon graduation, she began working as a mobile games product manager. She currently works for TicToc Games, an independent game development studio in Burbank, California.

- Cayci Yount is a software engineer who has spent the majority of her career on a long-term contract with the US Navy. She is believed to be the only person in the history of UC Irvine to graduate with Magna Cum Laude Latin honors in both her majors of Information and Computer Science and Drama. Cayci's adventures have been varied: she has been a regular on a YouTube show, is a foodie and loves trips to wine country, did a side job as the CEO of a non-profit, organized a 3-day My Little Pony convention (she has one of the largest collections in the world), and learned how to solder in order to repair her own TV.

- Arlene Soriano Atwell is Team Lead, Report Developer in the Sales Operations Department at Ossur Americas in Foothill Ranch, CA. Arlene has been working with Database/SQL reports for 20 years to support all levels of the organization: SSRS Reporting services, SQL Server Management Studio, Master Data Management, Salesforce, Excel, Power BI and more.

- Yasi Alemzadeh has more than 18 years of global experience in high growth enterprise software, SaaS and solutions companies. After completing her Computer Science Degree at UCI, she went on to work in technology with a possible entry point into patent law. Realizing that sitting in a cubicle coding and/or writing patent applications wasn't suited for her personality, she went back to obtain her executive MBA from Pepperdine. After building multiple teams, and helping to grow an organization from a team of 10 to over 100 she found her place in the operations space within technology; leading and building teams that focused on customer experience and success. Yasi currently works at EROAD, inc. a telematics company based on Auckland, New Zealand as the Vice President of Operations. In her spare time, she practices and teaches yoga and loves to travel (when COVID restrictions are not getting in the way).
