We ask that you watch the movie, "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once," before attending the event, but it is not required in order to attend. We will show clips of the movie in relation to specific discussion questions the group would like to dive into.

This movie was selected for our first "APISFA Media Chat" because of the positive impact it has created for Asians in media and in entertainment. Even though the movie revolves around the multiverse, the storyline touches on many relatable experiences of immigrant parents and families and the complex dynamic between parents and their first generational children. The movie was significant to recognizing and acknowledging Asian actors, writers, producers, etc. in Hollywood Entertainment, and it was pivotal in leading to Michelle Yeoh winning an Oscar for the "Best Actress" and Ke Huy Quan for the "Best Supporting Actor"--both firsts for Asian actors in entertainment history.

Please join us via Zoom in discussing the implications of the pivotal change in media and our own personal connections and experiences to the movie.
